Key Responsibilities
5. Care and Supervision: Deliver compassionate, vigilant care in different settings, ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in your care.
6. Safety Management: Monitor and address risks proactively, ensuring a secure environment.
7. Emotional Support: Provide essential emotional support and practical advice to those dealing with difficulties or distress.
8. Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date, accurate documentation in line with regulations.
9. Teamwork: Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, healthcare professionals, and educators.
10. Training and Development: Participate in regular training to enhance your skills and keep up to date with best practices.

Requirements
15. Experience: Previous experience supporting individuals with mental health issues, dementia, elderly care, learning disabilities, or children in residential care.
16. Driving License: A full, valid driving license with access to your own vehicle.
17. Registration: You must be registered or willing to register with Social Care Wales.
18. DBS Check: Must have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Skills and Attributes
19. Empathy and Understanding: A deep understanding of the complex needs of individuals, whether they are facing mental health challenges, cognitive impairments, or require complex care.
20. Industry Knowledge: Well-versed in safeguarding regulations, risk assessments, de-escalation techniques, and the best practices associated with support work.
21. Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
22. Calm and Composed: Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, providing reliable care and support.
23. Proactive Approach: A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving and delivering high-quality care.
