DWF are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join the Real Estate team in Edinburgh or Glasgow to work with our market leading telecoms and core real estate clients.
Our telecoms expertise is renowned and we act for big, UK-wide electronic communications operators. This work covers all aspects of asset management, from lease renewals under the Communications Act and Electronic Communications Code, acquisition of new sites, access issues, upgrades and the legal agreements required for the roll out of new technologies such as 5G.
Our dedicated real estate lawyers know how to secure finance and acquire, manage, develop and construct real estate assets across all classes, worldwide. With our real estate legal services, we seamlessly integrate partner-led technical knowledge, with industry experience and market-leading technology, to provide a critical edge to our clients, their assets and portfolios.
You will be joining a friendly and supportive team, dedicated to excellent client service, and with a focus on culture. The successful candidate will have exposure to clients on a regular basis, both within the relevant local market and as part of our national team. You will have the opportunity to work on a high quality, diverse and interesting caseload split between core Real Estate and Telecoms matters.
We will consider candidates interested in achieving dual qualification.
The successful candidate will be based in our Glasgow or Edinburgh office with the option of our hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities
* Work with our valued and long-standing clients to understand requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice.
* Commercial landlord and tenant law in the context of telecommunications mast sites including site acquisitions, upgrades, renewals, estates matters, site sharing and forced site moves.
* Providing support to the Real Estate Litigation team in Electronic Communications Code litigation matters.

* Experience of either telecoms law and the new Electronic Communications Code or core real estate experience.
* Ability and desire to develop lasting relationships with clients.
* Experience working as part of a collaborative team with the ability to also work independently.
* Able to maintain a client-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.
* Self-motivated and performance-driven, with a commitment to providing high-quality legal advice.
