We are looking for an ambitious university student to join our internal IT Operations department on a 12-month industrial placement year. The role is based from our head office site in Crewe, Cheshire and runs from August 2025 to August 2026. In this placement you will help to deliver outstanding support and service delivery to Radius, while gaining valuable real-world IT support experience. You will have the opportunity to spend time in a variety of our IT support teams, including Service Desk, Desktop Support, Application Support, Infrastructure and Cyber Security. Our IT support managers will work closely with you to ensure that you have all of the guidance you need and get a solid grounding in all relevant areas. Your responsibilities will include… Providing 1st line technical support for core technologies as required. Responding to and logging people’s requests and faults submitted by telephone, email and the IT Service Desk self-service logging tool, JIRA. Prioritising support calls and allocating them to the relevant technical support team/s. Ensuring that all support faults and requests received into the IT Service Desk are answered and responded to within agreed timelines. Keeping internal customers informed of any IT related issues that might impact their teams. Diagnosing and resolving 1st line hardware and software faults. What do we expect of you? Currently studying a computing related degree. Eager to learn and passionate about IT support with in a rapidly changing environment. Self-motivated with strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Passionate about customer service and a positive and flexible attitude to work.
