Senior Residential Youth Worker
We are recruiting 2 highly ambitious and qualified Senior Residential Youth Workers to join our client's successful and experienced staff team at a children’s residential care home in Northampton.
Candidates should have at least 6 months of experience in a similar setting and possess a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a qualification of similar or higher standing.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who are in the care system for various reasons, with a range of disorders, behaviours, and needs. We seek individuals with the confidence, understanding, patience, and skills to work effectively with young people and positively impact their lives.
This role involves providing guidance, interaction, and support to children and young adults within residential care, aiming to create a safe environment that addresses their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
Responsibilities include supporting children and young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, social activities, family contacts, education, and shopping.
We are looking for positive role models who are flexible, reliable, and interactive, and who want to work within a specialist environment.
Please note that successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check as part of the safer recruitment process and attend a paid five-day training programme.

The role is based on a 38-hour week and includes sleep-in duties and occasional weekend shifts.
