In the Team Manager role, you will be:
1. Assist the Section Manager in managing workflow, ensuring timely decisions on referrals within statutory limits.
2. Overseeing case management to produce quality assessments and outcome-focused care plans to safeguard children and support families within the community and care system.
3. Monitoring and supervising team performance, audit case files, and ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities.
4. Mentor and support social workers, chair complex casework meetings, and manage enquiries and investigations.
5. Deputising for the Section Manager as needed, ensuring continuity in service delivery and budget management.
To be successful, you will need:
6. DIPSW or equivalent qualification and registered with Social Care Wales.
7. Previous experience in a similar role, including supervisory / management experience.
8. In-depth knowledge of child protection procedures, outcome-based planning.
9. IT and admin proficiency.
10. A proven track record in service development, multi-agency collaboration, and effective case management.
11. Excellent communication and workload management skills.
This is a temporary position for initially 2 months, working full time, Monday to Friday. You’ll be starting on a salary of £36 per hour and you’ll be based in offices in Colwyn Bay, North Wales.
