About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, highly organised, efficient manager with an obsession for attention to detail, to join our group of 3 hotel resorts. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate success in similar sized operations, with the ability to work under pressure to meet key deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement
2. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best value for the organisation.
3. Tendering and Contracting: Develop and issue requests for quotations and proposals, and manage the tender process. Negotiate and draft contracts in compliance with legal and organisational standards.
4. Cost Control: Monitor budgets, negotiate pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
5. Compliance: Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and organisational policies, including sustainability and ethical standards.
6. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate orders to meet business needs without overstocking.
7. Data Analysis: Analyse procurement data to identify trends, performance metrics, and opportunities for improvement.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to understand procurement needs and provide strategic sourcing solutions.
9. Insurance Coordination: Serve as the main liaison between the organisation, insurance providers, brokers, and relevant stakeholders. Facilitate clear communication on policies, coverage terms, and updates to internal teams. Oversee and review the organisation’s insurance portfolio, ensuring adequate cover for all operational needs. Manage the entire claims process, including filing, documentation, follow-ups, and resolution.
What You Will Need
Required Criteria:
* Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
* Strong understanding of procurement best practices and contract management.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Knowledge of relevant UK procurement laws and regulations.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Experience in corporate environments or large organisations.
