Full Job Description
Role Summary:
A client of ours, specializing in High Voltage (HV) installation and commissioning services up to 400kV, is recruiting for a Portfolio Manager.
The Portfolio Manager oversees a group of projects within a specific portfolio, leading Project Managers (PMs) and Apprentice Project Managers (APMs). The role involves resource coordination, project delivery management, and ensuring alignment with client requirements, internal standards, and corporate goals.
Package:
* Salary: Up to 100k+
* Working conditions: Hybrid (office, home, and site)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Allocation & Planning: Collaborate with the Heads of Tendering, Operations, and Commercials to assess new contract awards and allocate projects to appropriate portfolios based on resources, location, and project type.
2. Set up and lead project kick-off meetings, ensuring alignment across all departments (design, commercial, and construction).
3. Assign Project Managers and brief project team members on their roles and responsibilities.
4. Project & Team Monitoring: Oversee Project Managers and Lead Designers, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of projects.
5. Ensure weekly project reports and monthly contract reviews are completed, addressing escalations immediately.
6. Maintain adherence to company standards through regular audits and participation in Senior Leadership Team meetings.

9. Ensure compliance with GTDS's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards across all projects.
10. Participate in Senior Leadership Team meetings, sharing insights and process improvements. Monitor project performance, risk management, and client satisfaction, reporting regularly to senior management.

* Key Stakeholders: Heads of Tendering, Commercials, and Construction
Knowledge and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience managing large-scale projects within the HV Transmission & Distribution sector.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing multiple projects and teams.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of handling complex project challenges and making critical decisions.
* Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
