Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £30,266 - £33,579 per annum
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose: The post holder will contribute to the Council’s programme by alleviating poverty, increasing financial inclusion and improving wellbeing. The post holder will work positively and independently with our most vulnerable and protected service users to provide an effective and efficient customer-focused welfare advice and inspection service across the whole of the Highlands. Adaptability is key as we regularly evaluate service provision to improve and meet the diverse and changing needs of our service users
A valid driving license is essential for this post.

Requirements
* The post requires expertise & knowledge in Welfare reform acts, benefit legislation, council tax law and benefits administered by the Department for Work & Pensions 7 Social Security Scotland.
* Candidates must be educated to at least an HND in a relevant discipline or training to an equivalent standard.
* The post holder will be required to travel alone and frequently across and out with the Highland area. A clean and current driving licence is essential as is the ability to stay away from home overnight.
