Role And Responsibilities Your Key Responsibilities: This role provides additional support for the ongoing growth of the SEUK Climate Solutions business. The Technical Services function consists of Pre-Sales support and Aftersales activities including Training. Pre-Sales are responsible for the technical design and quotation support of the SEUK customer base: Distribution/Direct, the Key Account Managers (KAM’s), the Business Development Managers (BDM’s) from the office but will also be required to regularly visit customers and projects in the field. A primary focus is the development of positive relationships with all customers and the external Sales Team ensuring they have all of their design and quotation requests turned around accurately and in a timely manner. Develop market leading design & quotation service levels, including accuracy and turnaround Support the development of the other Pre-Sales colleagues Ensure all designs & quotations are accurately stored, tracked and maintained for future revision and/or traceability Use all appropriate tools including DVM Pro, CAD and Sales Force dot.com to support business processes and customer requirements Contribute to the preparation of, and deliver training courses to customers as required in the subjects of design, selection and application of the Samsung products. Skills And Qualifications What will be your key deliverables? Utilise existing and develop as appropriate systems and processes to support Pre-Sales functions. Regularly diarise and visit customers with KAM’s / BDM’s and management. Provide all relevant teams, partners and customers with product information in a timely manner Upload and maintain as the need arises equipment lists into SFDC to support order flipping for customer delivery Provide the relevant teams and customers with a Project design service using DVM Pro software and AutoCAD if required Provide accurate quotations in-line with Company guidelines to improve both sales & profit Collate and analyse competitor’s product RRP pricing and ensure our quotations are in line with the market expectations Collate competitor’s product information to provide useful sales tools and product information Constantly develop keen product knowledge of both Samsung and its competitors Maintain high levels of communication to all collaborators involved in the Operations / Sales Order Processing domain. What We Need For This Role To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes: Essential Skills Educated in mechanical engineering Knowledge of air conditioning systems (at least theoretical) Excellent IT skills Operational experience of a CRM system (such as SFDC / Microsoft Dynamics / SAP) Pro-active support of sales function with design and product solutions ability Experience in project tendering process Ability to breakdown and analyse project requirements from tender documents and technical submittals Good understanding of reading and scaling off building services drawings and schematics Good presentation skills Strong communication and organizational skills and business acumen Good project management skills and ability to work well under pressure Professional manner and attitude Strong relationship building skills Desirable Skills: UK operational experience in AC industry A good understanding of relevant Industry Legislation and regulations Operational use of AutoCAD Experience in specification sales support History of Technical support & Training Experience of working with different cultures Enthusiastic attitude and passion for target achievement Progressive goal & vision for success What does success look like?
