Quality Engineer - Major Infrastructure Project - Plymouth
Randstad are recruiting for a highly experienced Quality Engineer for a major infrastructure project in Plymouth. This is a contract role offering a competitive rate and the opportunity to work on a critical project within a leading contractor.
Responsibilities:
1. Implement and maintain quality management systems and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Conduct inspections, audits, and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
3. Develop and implement quality control measures to minimize defects and ensure adherence to project requirements.
4. Identify and manage quality-related risks and issues, providing solutions and corrective actions.
5. Prepare and maintain quality-related documentation, including reports, records, and certifications.
6. Collaborate with project team members, including site engineers, project managers, and subcontractors, to ensure effective communication and quality assurance.
Essential Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in quality engineering within the infrastructure sector, with a strong track record of delivering quality assurance on complex projects.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and methodologies.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
4. Proficient in identifying and resolving quality-related issues, developing solutions, and implementing corrective actions.
5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to achieving high standards of quality.
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
2. Experience working with leading construction companies in the UK.
