A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time permanent Band 3 Phlebotomist to join the Imaging Directorate team at the University Hospital of North Midlands, working at both Royal Stoke and County Hospitals.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and clinical skills.
The post holder will be integral to supporting the Rapid Diagnostic Cancer pathways currently being provided within the Imaging Directorate.
They will work closely with the clinical and administration teams, Directorate management, Cancer services and other internal and external providers., The post holder will primarily perform venepuncture to support the Rapid Diagnostic Cancer pathways currently being provided within the Imaging Directorate. The post holder will help to provide venepuncture to support same-day Imaging via Point of Care Testing (POCT).
The post holder will be expected to work cross-site to help provide support to the GI Advanced Practitioner Radiographers in providing CT Colonoscopy bowel preparation to patients. The post holder will support the initial part of the consent process and will provide pre-procedural information to patients as part of the colorectal faster diagnostic standard
Candidates should possess a professional attitude to their work and have the ability to work flexibly in a busy environment., The successful candidate must be proactive, dynamic and keen to fulfil the responsibilities as specified in the Job Description.
