Papier’s collection of stationery products, from notebooks & diaries to notecards and wedding invitations, is designed to feed curiosity and contemplation, to invite people to uncover the possibility of a blank page. The business is growing and internationalising rapidly, particularly experiencing growth in the US across both D2C and wholesale channels.
We are looking for a Head of Digital Product (FTC) to join Papier's small but mighty Digital Product and Tech team. You’ll be responsible for driving forward our ambitious, high growth, Product roadmap whilst balancing and prioritising our effective stream of BAU operations. Reporting into the CEO and founder, you will be working closely with all functions across the business and senior leadership. You’ll be a pivotal member of our commercial team, owning the trading of all on-site metrics and ensuring best in class product discoverability and merchandising. The right candidate for this role has extensive experience in people management and will be running our product management, product design, product analytics and visual merchandising team members.
Job Requirements
* 8+ years of experience in a product or delivery leadership role or evidence of strong cross transferable experience
* 4+ years of experience in People management
* Experience of working in a leadership roles within fast growth organisations
* Extensive experience with UX/UI research and and the application of insights gathered
* Strong data and analytical skills (experience using Looker would be beneficial)
* Advocate of a lean and fast product development lifecycle and application of Agile principles to ways of working
* Experience working with design tools - particularly Figma
* Experience working with budgets, forecasting, stock and pricing
Job Responsibilities
* You will help deliver, maintain and own the prioritisation of the existing Product and Tech strategy and roadmap in partnerships with senior leaders across the business. This will require a strongly ability in balancing customer demands, business OKRs, technical feasibility, innovation and commercial considerations
* You will support and guide the different areas within the wider Digital Product function; Product Design, Product Analytics, Product Management and Visual Merchandising. You will need to be a strategic thought partner and sounding board across the team and maintain an adequate level of detail in order to ensure all investments are driving towards Papier’s growth goals.
* You will be a critical stakeholder and manage the relationships with all senior leaders across the organisation and be a true advocate for Digital Product and cross-functional collaboration.
* You will have experience in career and line management and will be accountable for fostering a high-performance, growth-centric culture which develops the team to scale their impact and progress professionally.
* You will own the commercial performance of Papier.com - ensuring product decisions directly drive positive results with all of our key metrics; revenue growth, conversion improvements, acquisition and customer lifetime value.
* You will bring strong commercial acumen and be a key voice in all trading forums and will represent not only the onsite experience but also be the voice of the customer.
* You will be ultimately responsible for ensuring optimal product discoverability through merchandising excellence across all of our online stores (UK / US / AUS / CA). This includes close collaboration with various teams to translate the brand, product and pricing strategies into a compelling onsite experience - which is aligned with our marketing channels.
* You are responsible for the continuous testing and improvements to drive forward our new beta Loyalty Scheme product
* You will act as the owner and internal advocate for data-driven decision making around the business - ensuring we fully leverage all available data (quantitative and qualitative) from the tools and platforms we own ( / looker / hotjar) to drive informed, strategic decisions.
* You will be an advocate for UX / UI design across our entire digital ecosystem and around the wider business - operating as a key counterpart to our creative, design and brand teams.
