Windows Refresh Technician - IT Services Provider Location: Milton-Keynes Rate: £144.00 per day (inside IR35) Duration: 5 to 6 months Start date: approx.26th February 2025 Onsite. 5 days on site per week. Work Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, 40 hours per week About the Role: Our client an IT service provider based in Milton Keynes requires a Windows Refresh Technician to join their team. You be responsible for the refresh of around 700 devices to Windows 11. As a Windows Refresh Technician, duties involve Windows 11 installs, repairs and provide technical maintenance for products and component hardware and software. This will predominantly be done on site. You will ensure systems operate as designed and maintain and/or upgrade the systems as required. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure customers are provided with an efficient and timely service. Key Responsibilities: Serves as a field engineer for specific clients and/or for specific products and applications including tech kiosks and desks. Provide software, hardware and networking support for desktops, laptops, servers, network devices, AV rooms and other networked devices. Install and maintain PCs and associated software, networks, servers, peripherals and other networked devices. Support network products from both operational and maintenance perspectives, including preventative maintenance activities. Perform installs, moves, adds and changes as required. Test and certify PCs, networks, servers and client approved applications. Provide follow-up on problems or escalations. Meet SLA requirements and ensures client satisfaction in all interactions. Experience required: A good technical knowledge of IT equipment, applications and software. Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel etc.). Experience of large-scale digital refresh project would be preferable. Previous experience of working in a similar role with a digital refresh application is desirable. At least 1-2 years experience in an area of responsibility. Qualifications required: GCSE qualifications or GED are essential. A relevant qualification to degree level or equivalent professional qualification. Generally, 1-2 years experience in area of responsibility. Have the ability to talk and work confidently with colleagues of different seniority levels. Maintain a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanour and dress Have excellent relationship management and organisation skills.
