Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying to all the major supermarkets online food delivery companies, wholesale and restaurant chains. They are looking for a multi:skilled shift engineer, electrically biased to join their close:knit team.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Carry out both electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs on high:speed food production lines, packaging machinery, automation and control systems and associated equipment
* Completing structured PPMs
* Worked on motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, inverters, gearboxes, drives, bearings
* PLC : electrical fault finding diagnostics
* Ordering spares and parts
* Continuous improvement and project work
* Upkeep of engineering technical documentation
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Be a multi:skilled engineer, mechanical biased
* Must have completed a time:served:apprenticeship
* Qualified to NVQ Level 3 as a minimum
* Ideally worked in food manufacturing
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding and problem solving skills
* Able to work on own initiative and sometime unsupervised
* Must have worked in some for of manufacturing environment
* Dealt with high:speed production lines and machinery
* PLC : must be able to do electrical fault finding
* Worked on hydraulics and pneumatics
* Experience of working in a continuous improvement environment
