Salary: £35,000 Working Pattern: Monday to Friday from 07:30 - 16:30, including a one hour lunch break. Location: Manchester (Onsite) This role offers a structured development and training plan over six months, covering all key responsibilities below. Key Responsibilities: Manage and assess supplier documentation, ensuring compliance and renewals. Maintain and update supplier, raw material, and packaging databases. Oversee factory trials, including planning, material management, and reporting results. Develop and manage raw material and packaging specifications. Create and approve recipe cards and factory documentation. Collaborate with internal teams to drive efficiency and process improvements. Support HACCP, Internal Audit teams, and food safety validations. Conduct taste panels and shelf-life testing for quality improvements. Manage product samples and oversee the artwork process from design to launch. Attend supplier and customer visits, including international travel. Provide support for QC and Technical Administrator roles as needed. Person Specification: Qualifications: Food Safety Level 2, HACCP Training, Legal Labelling, Internal Auditor certification. Education: Degree in Food Science or Nutrition. Skills & Experience: Sensory evaluation skills. Experience in food manufacturing, ideally with High Risk/Care factory standards (training provided if needed). Ability to interpret shelf-life and nutritional results. Strong self-motivation and ability to meet personal and business targets. Excellent communication skills, sharing knowledge openly. Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
