Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Community Psychiatric Nurse at Ailsa Hospital.
What you will do:
The role involves providing Post Diagnostic Support to those recently diagnosed with a dementia.
The successful candidate would be required to assist in facilitating Cognitive Stimulation Groups throughout South Ayrshire jointly with other colleagues from within South CMHTE. Supervision and mentoring of students is also part of the role within the team and facilitation of group work

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
* First level qualification of Registered Mental Health Nurse and current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
* Working knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines and strategies.
* Relevant post registration experience of working with the older adult.
