At Pets at Home, our Development Team is driving the future of pet care – and we want YOU to be part of that journey.
About the Role
We’re on the lookout for a Senior Delivery Lead who’s passionate about innovation and collaboration. You'll play a key role in launching our exciting new Petcare digital platform, while guiding a talented software development team. You'll bring together tech, creativity, and teamwork to make it happen!
What You’ll Do:
* Lead and inspire your squad to deliver top-notch software, using agile methods to stay on track and on target.
* Work with teams and stakeholders across the business to keep everything running smoothly, ensuring we deliver the best possible solutions.
* Oversee the deployment of new features, making sure they’re released smoothly and securely into testing and production.
* Mentor and support your team, helping them stay on top of their game while handling fast-paced changes.
* Collaborate with our Product Owner to plan exciting new features and roadmap what's next for our platform.
* Always be on the lookout for ways to remove blockers and speed things up, ensuring the team is set up for success.
What We’re Looking For
* Agile Enthusiast: You've got solid experience with Agile practices, and love coaching teams to thrive within SCRUM and Kanban frameworks.
* Team Player: You're skilled at working with cross-functional teams, balancing the needs of technical and non-technical folks alike.
* Software Delivery Guru: You've managed development teams and delivered large-scale software projects in a dynamic environment.
* Problem Solver: From day-to-day hiccups to bigger roadblocks, you're great at finding ways to keep things moving smoothly.
* Tech-Savvy: You’re familiar with the world of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing, and ready to apply them to a high-transaction retail environment.
Nice-to-Haves:
* Experience with Greenfield product development or transitioning teams from a “buy first” to a “build first” mentality.
* Understanding of microservices architecture and its pros and cons.
Location: Our hybrid setup means you'll spend two days a week in our Handforth (Cheshire) Support Office, with the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time.
If you’re ready to lead a team, innovate, and make a difference in the lives of pets and their people, we want to hear from you!
Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
