Learning Support Assistant
Are you motivated by supporting and helping children with additional needs?
We are looking for a committed Learning Support Assistant to work one-on-one with a small group of children that have a specialist provision for students diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. This school is located in Hailsham and teaches students between the ages of 11-18.
This school knows that relationships between staff, students, and our wider community are pivotal to our success. Staff have high expectations, are ambitious for their students, and should know them well. They pride themselves on a rigorous focus on the child as a unique individual, including their most disadvantaged and those with SEND.
This role will give you essential experience within a challenging yet rewarding setting - career progression routes include SEN Teacher, Occupational Therapist, and various Psychology routes.

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:
1. Help children understand instructions.
2. Support children during social activities and outings.
3. Encourage communication and look after their physical needs.
4. Prepare and provide learning materials.
