Technical Accounts Manager
Location: Gillingham
Rate of pay: £38,000 - £42,000 DOE

Job Description
1. To have responsibility of Key Service accounts in terms of relationship development, and continued sales growth.
2. Increase share of wallet and increase spend with existing Key Service Accounts, and cross sell services to include Fire Detection/Suppression/Passive Fire/CCTV/Access Control/Remote Monitoring/Extinguishers and Sprinklers.
3. To acquire orders and achieve target sales volumes and margins from identified accounts.
4. Assist with site surveys, asset gathering and new maintenance quotations supporting the Technical Operations Manager and Estimating team.
5. Master the value selling approach (incorporating evaluation metrics such as ROI) to address a customer's primary operational and financial objectives.
6. Apply knowledge and understanding of the features, functions and benefits of the Senseco Systems portfolio to offer the best solution to the customer.
7. Maintain consistent communication and client interaction to build strong relationships.
8. Monitor and develop the relationship with Key Account clients and pass any concerns to the Service Delivery Team.
9. Split between being office based and site based to develop strong relationships with key account customers.
10. Attend out of hours social events with key clients.
11. Complete ownership of the clients account (Site), attending site frequently and report all maintenance progress throughout the year.
12. Develop and maintain close contact with end users/FM contractors to promote our portfolio & solutions.
13. Report progress on maintenance using report sheets/tick sheets/Nimbus at each meeting.
14. Lead Your Team as Account Manager, supported by a Tech Spec Team Leader and a Customer Service Team Leader.
15. Review all engineering reports and arrange/produce quotes for any recommended works.
16. Work with client to produce and negotiate the annual renewal/order.
Skills and Competencies:
1. FIA (or recognised certified) Training course on Fire Detection & Alarm systems preferrable.
2. Familiarity with technologies such as Fire Detection & Alarm systems, EVCS, PAVA, Gas Suppression Systems.
3. Logical approach to problem solving, organised approach.
4. Good interpersonal skills and telephone manner.
5. Consultative & value selling methodologies.
6. Professional knowledge in presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
7. Estimating, costing, budgeting, and financial commercial tools.
8. Proven experience in a technical engineering role in the life safety industry.
