Our Client is one of the largest fresh produce providers in the UK and is at the forefront of modern farming and food production. They have an exciting new opportunity to join their commercial and category management team based in Cambridgeshire as a Category Account Manager.
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to assume a lead role in retail customer relationships and alignment to supply strategy, while managing profitable performance and development of customers and categories.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day activities of each account, monitoring price, quality, and service.
2. Participate in weekly sales and raw material planning with category and site teams.
3. Produce monthly sales forecasts and manage promotional planning.
4. Promote, develop, and maintain good relations with Customers, Buyers, and Technologists.
5. Create long-term and short-term sales and marketing plans for customer key accounts.
6. Develop profitable trading opportunities in core products and/or complementary lines.
7. Co-ordinate the development of new products for your customers.
8. Monitor and control profit and loss in line with KPI's and BU target for customers.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Negotiation and influencing skills.

3. Excellent communication and relationship management.
4. Situational problem-solving skills.
5. Experience working with major retailers.
6. Experience in the food and drink industry; fresh produce is an advantage.
