Additional role requirements; DBS check Full driving licence A little bit about what we are looking for We are seeking a dedicated and proactive leader to oversee the supervision of operatives and contractors, ensuring the highest levels of customer service are delivered in a safe and productive manner. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, voids, and planned maintenance services while driving performance to meet corporate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Your responsibilities Leadership and Team Management: Provide effective daily line management of the operational team. Manage quality, productivity, and service delivery directly or through delegation. Oversee performance management of the workforce, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and best practices. Customer Care: Deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to PA Housing Group Policies. Address and resolve queries and complaints from tenants and staff, maintaining a high level of service satisfaction. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy for yourself and others. Follow and enforce training and guidelines on health and safety practices, including but not limited to: Asbestos Fire Safety Working at Height Electrical Safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Hazardous Substances Manual Handling, Lone Working, and Noise Management Operational Management: Liaise with other departments and trades to ensure the completion of repairs and maintenance works. Ensure proper and efficient use of company property, such as mobile technology and vehicles. Regularly replenish van stocks and ensure all materials are readily available for job completion. Documentation and Reporting: Complete all necessary documentation, both electronic and hard copy, as required. Conduct pre-, in-progress, and post-inspections, producing technical reports including Schedules of Rates. Collaboration and Communication: Attend meetings to communicate housing management issues or concerns to the team. Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless implementation of services. Out-of-Hours Support: Participate in the out-of-hours standby rota to provide emergency assistance when needed. Our ideal candidate Qualifications: SSSTS or SMSTS certification. Trade Qualification (C&G/NVQ2) or equivalent practical experience (QBE). First Aid at Work (3-day certification). Asbestos Awareness and Duty to Manage certification. Scaffold Inspection and PASMA certification. Face Fit Testing certification. Full, valid driving licence. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of building repairs, technology, and regulations. Strong grasp of Health and Safety requirements. Familiarity with housing management systems. Experience: Proven experience in building repairs and refurbishments, including: Decent Homes Kitchen & Bathroom upgrades, PVC installations, and roofing works. Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works. Experience in managing time effectively and working in customer-facing roles. Proficiency with mobile technology and digital tools. Previous involvement in social housing contracting and performance management. Assessing the quality of completed repairs and ensuring value for money from both in-house teams and external contractors.
