LINKS Recruitment Group present a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to work within a well-established company who are continuously growing due to company success.
The role:
The purpose of the role is to maximise the operating efficiency of the plant and to maintain the assets, these objectives are to be achieved at the lowest practicable cost.
1. Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
2. Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule.
3. Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.
4. Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment.
5. Co-ordinate maintenance activities within a specified area of the plant.
6. Work in close liaison with Production and other managers during MBT and Lean Manufacturing activities.
7. Allocate parts and prioritise work to maximize effectiveness of engineering resources.
8. Responsible for regular testing and maintenance of all Mechanical services and associated standby equipment providing Process and Plant Protection.
9. Improve the net operating efficiency of the designated area of the plant.
10. Proactive approach to spare part asset management.
11. Enforce safe working practices to ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner. Provide and maintain a safe working environment.
12. Responsible for the implementation and development of mechanical maintenance routines for the designated areas.
13. Work in an autonomous manner dealing with day to day area issues.
The Person:
1. Completion of an engineering apprenticeship and/or HNC level or above in an engineering-related subject; or equivalent experience within a relevant engineering role.
2. Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
3. You will be mechanically biased with the ability to fault-find and repair mechanical fields.
4. Experience across a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
5. Ability to perform both proactive & reactive maintenance duties using a scheduled maintenance system.
Role: Permanent
Shifts: Days Based - 8am - 4pm + overtime available
