Salary £29k-£34k pa depending on experience
Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual wanting to develop their merchandising career within a growing luxury footwear business that is primarily DTC. You will thrive on getting to know and understand the full workings of the business and be a central team member in maintaining robust systems and accurate reporting and helping shape the future of the business.
Key Functions of the role
• Product set up across all relevant merchandising systems
• Managing product barcode set up and box end labels, ensuring accurate house-keeping and continually identifying improvements to the process
• New Supplier set up and induction across all relevant systems and documents
• Stock Management including stock adjustments, inter-location movements, year end and regular stock counts - regular size ratio analysis and new PO's to balance existing stock. Identify repeats requirements and potential sale items
• Maintaining accurate data within all systems and spreadsheets including Shopify, Qoblex, Mintsoft and Swap. Bi-Monthly publish all stock not in a saleable location and ensure this is minimised where possible
• Supporting with data collection and preparation of report analysis (stock, sales, margin returns etc.) for monthly / weekly reporting
• Support with website sale price inputs, set up etc. (Christmas, Summer & any inter-seasonal / secret sales/ sample sales)
• Manage all Packaging and POS forecasts and requirements and free-issue footbeds and materials to the suppliers
• Forecast and Manage the Footbed and foam stocks across the business
• Competitor analysis and benchmarking.
• Recommend Retail price changes where necessary. Make Sale pricing proposals based on stock and sell through data
• Input purchase orders into the ERP system, and continual monitoring of ex-factory dates & changes in prices / quantities.
• Build and maintain an effective working relationship with suppliers, developing a strong working knowledge of their capabilities and availability to meet demands.
• Flag any production delays in the Critical Path meeting to the wider team.
• Continually update the supplier manual
• Monitor packing lists & invoices (for production) liaise with suppliers and notify of discrepancies and arrange credit notes where necessary.
• Booking Purchase Orders into the system.
• Manage and update the PO tracker and Product schedule.
• Managing day-to-day warehouse queries, provide them with a monthly estimate of receivable and dispatched quantities, approve the monthly logistics invoice for accounts, challenge any costs that appear excessive
• Managing and maintaining the stock system to ensure movements are processed correctly and stock reconciles with the warehouse (bi-monthly stock reconciliation)
• Monitoring and supporting on general shipping & logistics issues.
• Ensure that you understand and are capable of performing other team members jobs within the department to cover sickness or holidays and during busy periods
• Be able to cover customer service and provide detail on deliveries, stock and with liaising with customers when needed
• Assist and help manage the Sample Sale including venue, logistics and all stock.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years of merchandising experience, within a retail or brand environment.
Skills
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Experience of working in a product based department or brand
• A self-starter who enjoys getting involved in all aspects of a small business and enjoys keeping on top of all the detail and wants to contribute to the growth of the business
