Our client is an established company based in the Stone area, seeking a Management Accountant to join their friendly team. Working in an open plan office within the Accounts team, this role involves providing financial information to the Directors. Duties for the Management Accountant include:
1. Supervising the Accounts Assistant
2. Preparing monthly management accounts
3. Processing monthly payroll accurately
4. Overseeing bank reconciliations for GBP and EU accounts
5. Managing accounts receivables and payables
6. Monitoring cash flow
7. Authorising bank payments
8. Checking payment runs, credit card statements, and expenses
9. Liaising with auditors annually
10. Overseeing credit control and managing bad debts
11. Maintaining credit limits and liaising with customers, credit insurers, and sales managers
12. Preparing information for VAT reporting
13. Liaising with customers via email and telephone
Candidate requirements:
1. Minimum AAT Level 4 Qualified
2. Ideally CIMA/ACCA part-qualified
3. Experience in management accounting
4. Knowledge of Sage 50 accounts is desirable
5. Previous supervisory experience is preferred
6. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
7. Effective communication and people skills
8. Problem-solving abilities
9. Ability to meet deadlines
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 35 hours, with early finish at 1:00 pm on Fridays
Salary:
£35,000 - £40,000 per annum
