We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Doncaster, a category B Men’s Prison located in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality.
Hours
The core working hours are Mon – Fri (8:00 - 16:00). However, you will be expected to work one late shift (14:00 - 20:30) & every other Saturday (12:00 - 18:30).
Salary
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £53,172 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Senior Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Develop individualised care packages through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning
* Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions
* Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects
* Support in group work delivery of clinical interventions

Qualifications & Experience
* Registered nurse – Mental Health or Adult Nurse
* Current professional qualification (NMC)
* Prescribing qualification in SMS
* RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake
* Experience of working with opiate dependant patients
* Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
