About the Business Development Manager job
You will play a key role in the company’s growth plans - implementing and driving the sales strategy to achieve further business growth and expand the customer base, in line with the wider business plans.
Key tasks
1. Identify new business opportunities through market research and generate leads as well as developing relationships to drive company growth.
2. Successfully build and maintain Client relationships by engaging with prospects and existing clients to foster long-term partnerships.
3. Develop sales strategies by creating and executing plans to meet revenue targets and expand the customer base.
4. Collaborate with internal marketing, sales and product teams to align business development efforts with company goals.
About You
1. The ideal candidate should have 3 years minimum Sales experience within the foodservice, food manufacturing, hospitality or wholesale sector as well as knowledge of food industry trends and products.
2. Experience in business development, proven negotiation skills and meeting and exceeding sales targets as well as experience in sales forecasting and reporting.
3. You should live within a 2 hour radius of Birmingham and a bachelor’s level degree or equivalent is preferential.
The Business Development Manager job (ref:8868) is paying £45,000 (OTE) plus car allowance and benefits according to your experience.
The role is based in West Midlands and is commutable from Birmingham, Derby, Northampton, Gloucester, Manchester, Worcester, Leicester, Stoke on Trent, Crewe, Shrewsbury.
The package includes up to £40,000 base salary (OTE c.£45k in first year), £300 p/m car allowance, Commission & bonus scheme on every sale, Pension, Laptop, Mobile, 23 days holiday + bank holidays.
The working hours are 3 days office based and 2 days on the road initially.
