What does this Senior Care Assistant job involve?
Hours of Work:33 - 44 Hours Per Week - Shifts: 08:00 - 20:00 OR 20:00 - 08:00 + Alternating Weekends
Medication Administration and Management:
• Administer prescribed medication to residents.
• Assist in managing a safe medication control system as per policies and procedures.
Resident Care Delivery:
• Actively participate in and supervise care delivery to meet residents' physical, social, intellectual, and emotional needs.
• Ensure dignity, choice, independence, and respect.
Care Plan Management:
• Prepare, implement, review, and update residents' care plans based on personal preferences.
• Involve residents, representatives, key workers and management as appropriate, following company policies.
Health Monitoring and Liaison:
• Continually monitor residents' health needs.
• Ensure access to NHS healthcare services and maintain health-related care documentation.
• Liaise with residents, relatives, deputy/manager, and relevant staff.
Resident Choice and Independence:
• Respect residents' choices and independence through risk management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date record keeping.
Resident Engagement and Mentoring:
• Encourage resident involvement in home activities.
• Welcome and support their participation for emotional and intellectual stimulation.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor junior team members.

• We require you to be a strong team player, someone focussed on support for the staff team and residents.
• You will ideally hold a level 3 diploma in health and social care or the level 2/care certificate and be willing to complete the level 3.
