We are looking to welcome a Demand Planning Manager into our senior operations team here at our Sheffield warehouse based in Chapeltown just conveniently located off Junction 35 off the M1. This is a full-time permanent position with a generous salary of between £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience as well as a committed development plan to help you progress. This position requires a strong understanding of supply chain systems and the ability to vaticinate future trends based on historical data from our customers and market analysis.
As our Warehouse Demand Planning Manager you will play a vital role in ensuing the site have adequate labour resource requirements on site daily to help the operation meet business objectives, in turn improving customer service, reducing costs and achieving SLA's. You'll play a crucial part in developing and implementing strategic plans which allow us to create short-, medium- and long-term plans for the site.
What you will be doing as our Warehouse Demand Planner:
· Delivering short, medium- & long-term resourcing plans and translate these into peak planning output to ensure the site can deliver key customer volume requirements
· Working with the General manager and finance teams to generate commercially viable workforce plan, in line with key business objectives
· Influencing and challenging the management of the operation on a daily basis with accurate insight and data to drive improvements to operational performance
· Managing our agency partner to ensure the supply of temporary labour meets performance KPIs and SLAs
· Create standardised and data driven reporting metrics to ensure data integrity and consistent/fair reporting
· Daily capture of site actuals to produce daily and weekly financial flash and distribute with insight and commentary
· Monitor inventory levels and adjust forecasts as necessary to optimise stock availability while minimising excess inventory
· Understanding of finance reporting
· Knowledge of both closed book and open book operations
· Experience of formulas, functions, data set creation and management
· Experience of Warehouse Management Systems
· Experience in the logistics or 3PL industry
