Job Description
OBJECTIVE:
The Process Engineer will design, optimize, and oversee manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the highest quality of automotive components.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Troubleshoot problems with production and take corrective action.
* Research the purchase of equipment and/or upgrades to existing equipment.
* Implement new products and raw materials.
* Develop existing products and raw materials for high performance of processes.
* Develop and troubleshoot new equipment during initial start-up launch.
* Support production with problem solving and support maintenance when machinery problems occur.
* Create, edit, and maintain necessary documentation for process improvements.
* Assess the availability of raw materials and consider their safety and environmental impacts.
* Monitor and improve scrap levels, efficiency, output, and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements.
* Collect and interpret data from other technical and operating personnel.
* Train operators on the proper methods to produce quality products.
* Design basic tooling and gauges as required for production and safety needs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The work environment is not temperature controlled and the employee may be exposed to high heat work conditions.
