Description
Through appropriate training and development, act as a premium, claims and collections intermediary between cedant and (re)insurer on Excess of Loss and / or Proportional Treaty accounts of varied complexity. Ensure all service standards are met and seek to increase client service and revenue through timely and accurate premim and claims servicing. Ensure that Corporate compliance standards are adhered to and performance objectives met in accordance with client needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Learn to process initial and subsequent premium and claims in accordance with pre-determined departmental deadlines.
* Learn to identify, and how to resolve, some existing issues and potential problems with the client, through referral and guidance from senior colleagues.
* Learn to handle queries between client and (re)insurer, adhering to department procedures and client / department service standards.
* Develop relationships with internal and external key contacts and, where appropriate, participate in meetings.
* Develop relevant technical skills required to enhance service and support customer relationships.
* Gain knowledge of industry and processes to develop and improve own technical experience.
* Participate in team meetings and activities to share ideas, knowledge and experience. Maximise opportunities to increase own understanding and improve the services provided on accounts.
* Support team by helping to maintain colleagues' workloads in their absence.
* Learn to maintain filing and records in accordance with departmental procedures and best practices.
* Understand and contribute to the achievement of the department's Key Performance Indicators and Service Standards and adhere to the relevant Business Controls.
* Perform other job-related duties as assigned and achieve PDR goals and objectives.
* Take some responsibility for development of own personal skills and competencies in line with any agreed development plan.
* Support department activities to comply with FCA and other industry regulatory requirements.
* Adhere to the DISSL E&O and Compliance standards; the Safety, Health and Environment policy; and departmental procedures, guidelines and business controls.
