The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee upcoming HV/LV works within the water sector. This contract offers an exciting opportunity to manage critical infrastructure projects, ensuring the safe and efficient installation and operation of HV/LV transformers, switchgear, and generators. You’ll play a key role in coordinating contractors and designers while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee HV/LV works, including transformers, distribution systems, and switching equipment.
2. Ensure correct installation, operation, and integration of LV generators and associated switchgear .
3. Coordinate and liaise with contractors and designers to ensure smooth project delivery.
4. Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and technical designs.
5. Interrogate designs and scopes of work to identify potential issues and ensure compliance.
6. Oversee programming activities, ensuring timely project milestones and deliverables.
Key Requirements:
7. Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer working on HV/LV infrastructure in the water sector .
8. Strong understanding of transformers, distribution, and switching equipment .
9. Experience in contractor and design coordination within infrastructure projects.
10. Ability to review and interpret technical designs and method statements .
11. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
12. Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering .
