Teaching Assistant, FY1. Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide personalized support to a child with cognitive delay in a mainstream primary school setting. Pay: Between £12.90-£13.50 per hour. Start Date: Monday 6th January 2025 Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 15:30. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the child with cognitive delay to provide tailored academic support, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and can reach their full potential. Implement individualized learning strategies and interventions to address the child's specific needs, promoting their academic and personal growth. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported. Collaborate effectively with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure consistency and coherence in the child's educational experience. Monitor the child's progress and communicate regularly with parents/carers and other relevant stakeholders, providing feedback and updates on their development. Requirements: Previous experience working with children with cognitive delay or other special educational needs is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
