STOCKTON SPLASH
This impressive wet and dry community facility comprises 2 swimming pools, fun flumes, wild waves, bubble pool, a two-storey health and fitness suite, café, multi-activity and meeting rooms.
THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and inspirational Leisure Manager who thrives in a hands-on operational management and customer facing role. You will be responsible for implementing and evaluating the facility’s ambitious business plan, focusing on creating a clear strategic framework to achieve the venue’s operational and financial targets whilst building strong relationships with our stakeholders and community partners.

ABOUT YOU
Educated to NVQ Level 4 (or willing to obtain) in a Leisure or Business Management related subject, you will have extensive experience of working in a senior management role within the leisure sector. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential for this role, as is direct experience of managing a multi-purpose leisure facility with swimming pools and working with community groups and regional organisations. You will have a First Aid at Work, a Pool Plant Operator, and IOSH H&S Level 2 qualifications (although training will be available for these).
An in-depth understanding of and a proven ability to manage all aspects of financial planning and budgets will be necessary, as well as a “can-do” attitude and a real passion to be the best.
The ability to create and develop relationships is vital to encourage communities to be physically active. You will be expected to work with a range of new and existing partners, such as clubs, community groups, schools, and other organisations to enable the centre to enhance the health and wellbeing of our community.
You will be managing a large team, so as well as excellent leadership skills, you will need to be able to communicate effectively and develop relationships with people of all levels, both inside and outside of the business. You will have the ability to inspire and motivate a team to excel in everything they do.
You will need to be well-organised and be able to work well under pressure, develop business plans, have a proven record of creating a viable activity programme, and ensuring all health and safety legislation is being adhered to.
