The Post:
This post is for a senior registered nurse to work in our nurse led satellite dialysis team. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Nephrology team in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary to ensure a high standard of care is given to patients undergoing dialysis treatment in Orkney. This post offers a unique and exciting opportunity to gain knowledge and skills working in a remote and rural satellite dialysis unit. It is expected that the appointed candidate may work in other wards as service demands require.
The Candidate:
The post holder will have an active NMC registration and be educated to degree level. It is expected the post holder will also hold a relevant specialist qualification. You also must have good communication skills, the ability to work autonomously and at least 3 years’ experience within haemodialysis.
Location, Working Pattern and Contract Duration:
This post will be based at The Balfour. The successful candidate will work: Part Time 13 hours per week. This post is on a Fixed-Term Basis for 9 months due to maternity cover. It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NHS Orkney.
