The Post: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join us in delivering high-quality patient care in the Inpatients 2 ward at The Balfour, Orkney. The ethos of IP2 ward is to empower patients to take responsibility for their own health; wellbeing and future lifestyle by practising in an open transparent and inclusive manner, thereby ensuring the patients are encouraged to progress and develop according to their individual needs. The Inpatients 2 ward is a 17 bedded unit with 4 integral Macmillan beds, supported by specialist nurses, and 17 rehabilitation and assessment beds, which incorporates patients following surgery and neurological conditions. As a registered nurse within IP2 team, you will be working closely with the specialist nurses and the rest of the multi-disciplinary team, to be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care with the multi-disciplinary team members. The Candidate: It is expected that candidate will have full UK NMC registration, possess a degree or equivalent qualification and have experience in acute or medical nursing. Candidates should also possess an awareness of NMC code of conduct and have the ability to work as part of a team. Location, Working Pattern and Contract Duration: This post will be based at The Balfour The successful candidate will work: Part Time 30 hours per week This post is on a Permanent Basis It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NHS Orkney.
