Would you like to become a registered Pharmacy Professional and join our Outstanding Trust and train to be a Pharmacy Technician (PT)?
This 2-year apprenticeship will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to register as a PT with the General Pharmaceutical Council and you will be recognised nationally as an essential part of the workforce in delivering the NHS Long term plan. This apprenticeship is designed to give you the knowledge and skills through a combination of academic modules, work-based assignments and vocational experience.
You will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills, enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team and be resilient. You should be accurate in your work, with attention to detail and focus on complex tasks. Although we will provide training for the IT systems used you will have to learn new systems at pace and embrace the innovation in healthcare technology. You will need to be committed to achieving this qualification as it requires participation in training and competency program. You must be able to balance work/ study and home life as the course provider recommends up to 8 hours private study in addition to the study leave.
We provide emergency and non-emergency services to the residents of East Surrey, North-East West Sussex, and South Croydon, including the major towns of Crawley, Horsham, Reigate and Redhill; a community of over 535,000 people. We provide acute and complex services and a range of outpatient, diagnostic services whilst Crawley Hospital and Horsham in West Sussex and Caterham Dene Hospital and Oxted Health Centre in Surrey provide less complex planned services.
