If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you As a Street Lighting Designer your primary responsibility will be designing external lighting solutions and street lighting projects that meet both technical specifications and commercial requirements. Supporting the Lighting and Grid business in delivering work for our Street Lighting PFI projects and existing customers in local authority and housing developer markets as well as supporting the tenders and bid process for new works. Whether it's standard designs or pushing the boundaries with non-standard solutions, you'll be at the forefront of lighting innovation. Key Responsibilities Designing external lighting solutions and street lighting projects. Ensuring compliance with relevant technical and commercial standards. Crafting solutions using standard and non-standard design principles. Supporting Street Lighting PFI projects and existing customers. Examining design options to optimize effectiveness. Meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Providing technical support to the Lighting and Grid team. Adhering to company policies and safety standards. What we need from you Technical qualification e.g. ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma. Be able to demonstrate previous experience of successful operation in a design environment and a pro-active and creative approach to problem solving. An in-depth knowledge of street lighting design requirements with experience of working with 3rd party sub-contract agreements with a strong financial and commercial awareness are required for this role. We are looking for someone with good oral and written communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to take a confident and diplomatic approach with staff, colleagues and customers. A working knowledge of mainframe and PC based computer systems associated with lighting and network cable design are also attributes required for this role.
