Corrie Recruitment is looking for a Technical Engineer for a permanent position in Inverness for a large, established Civil Engineering Contractor.
The role will involve providing centralised technical support to the Site teams and the duties will include, but may not be limited to, the following:
1. Studying both tender and construction drawings to identify technical queries.
2. Preparing and maintaining the RFI schedule across multiple contracts.
3. Preparing material orders for non-standard elements of the projects.
4. Looking for and implementing innovative construction methodologies.
5. Preparing task-specific method statements for the projects.
6. Regular Site Visits to sites in and around Inverness and the Highlands.
7. Liaising with Site Supervisors, Contract Manager, Technical Manager, HSEQ Manager, Buyer, and the Client's representative.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. HND in Civil Engineering, SMSTS, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in general Civil Engineering projects.
3. Previous experience in lifting operations and temporary works (not essential; training will be given to the successful candidate if required).
4. High level of communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
5. Good planning and organisational skills.
There is no setting out or site management involvement within the role.
