Key Responsibilities:
* Planning, creating, and teaching engaging sessions based around the child's needs, developing their knowledge in core subjects.
* Working with children with Special Education Needs who need face-to-face support. This could include children with ASD, SEMH or PMLD and may take place at their homes, care homes or a local area e.g., library which can be agreed with the parents/carers.
* Track progress and plan next steps.
* Inspire children to achieve and keep them engaged ensuring they can access the learning.
* Implement behaviour strategies to ensure children are focused and on task.
Skills & Experience:
* Experience working with students with complex needs in an educational setting.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children succeed.
* Knowledge of special education practices and strategies.
* A commitment to continuous professional development.
