About the Facility
This standalone, 19:bed service in Leeds offers rehabilitation and high:dependency recovery support for adults across two distinct wards:
* One ward provides bespoke therapeutic programmes (BTP) in self:contained single:occupancy apartments.
* The other is a 17:bed ward specialising in male care.
The service supports individuals, often detained under the Mental Health Act, who are navigating complex mental health needs, personality disorders, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or gender identity challenges. The ultimate goal is to facilitate recovery, enhance daily living skills, and empower individuals to reintegrate into the community as independent and responsible citizens.
The Role
As the Director of Clinical Services, you will:
* Take full responsibility for the clinical services operation, including nursing and therapy.
* Ensure the highest standards of patient care at all times.
* Develop and deliver the hospitals strategic goals as a key member of the senior leadership team.
* Provide clinical and operational leadership to achieve outstanding therapeutic outcomes.
* Forge strong relationships with external health and social care professionals.
* Drive compliance with all legislation, regulations, and organizational standards.
You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of meaningful engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement. By embedding a positive, patient:centered approach within the clinical team, you will ensure that quality care becomes second nature.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring:
* Essential Qualifications:
* Active registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Supervisory or managerial experience in a mental health setting.
* A minimum of two years as a Ward Manager or equivalent.
* Experience managing clinical budgets and leading quality initiatives.
* Comprehensive knowledge of statutory regulations and a passion for delivering high:quality care.
* Strong leadership, decision:making skills, and the ability to navigate dynamic environments.
* A proven track record in people management and collaboration with external professionals.
* Desirable Skills:
* A recognised post:registration qualification.
* Membership or accreditation with a relevant professional institution.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
