School First Aider
Salary £21,248 per annum (inclusive of Crawley Market Supplement and First Aid Allowance).
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday to be worked between 8.00am and 3.30pm, term time plus the Inset Day at the beginning of the academic year in September.
We are seeking to appoint a confident, caring and well-organised first aider.
1. As the School First Aider, you will provide first aid care to our students if they are injured or become unwell during the school day and decide on the appropriate course of action, working in accordance with school policies and procedures.
2. You will also support students with known medical conditions, ensuring that students are supported in school in line with their individual health care plan, and supervise students who need to take approved medications.
3. The role involves accurate recording of new and changing student medical information on SIMS and liaison with the external school nurse in relation to appointments for students and other students support services as required.
4. Applicants must have experience of basic first aid and to have this in a school environment would be desirable. You will also be required to undertake mandatory first aid training as necessary. You will need to be calm and confident, have good literacy skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office software.
