An independent, partner-led UK accounting firm — consistently ranked among the Top 50 — is inviting an experienced Audit Manager to join its growing team. The Role
This position is ideal for a qualified professional ready to manage a £500k client portfolio across audit and accounts. The successful candidate will lead on statutory audits, supervise junior team members, and report directly to the firm’s Partners — with no unnecessary layers of hierarchy.
The portfolio spans clients across sectors, with turnovers ranging from £1m to £150m. The role offers more than just compliance work, with scope to get involved in advisory projects, corporate tax strategy, and wider business consulting.
Clients & Scope of Work
The firm works with a broad client base — including owner-managed businesses, complex group structures, and entrepreneurial ventures. Audit remains central to the role, but the Audit Manager will also handle statutory accounts, tax compliance, and business planning engagements for your allocated portfolio.

Ideal Candidate Profile
· ACA or ACCA qualified, with 5+ years in UK practice (including at least 1 year at Manager level)
· Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and audit methodology
· Confident leading audits end-to-end and managing direct client communication
· Skilled in corporate tax compliance and planning
· Experienced in managing, mentoring, and developing junior team members
· Clear communicator, capable of delivering insights at Partner and board level
· Familiar with tools such as CaseWare, CCH, Mercia, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and Excel
