Due to open in spring 2025, the National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) will be the first to set new ambitious standards of practice and outcomes for rehabilitation patients in England. The NRC programme is hosted by Nottingham University Hospitals Trust.
The NRC is a new purpose-built 70 bed facility which is being built on the Stanford Hall Rehabilitation Estate near Loughborough.
It is co-located with the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre with whom the NRC will work closely. Academic partners, led by the University of Nottingham and Loughborough University, will ensure research and innovation and training and education in rehabilitation will be embedded at the NRC and central to clinical practice.
The NRC is at a crucial stage of workforce planning to ensure that the centre is established robustly to achieve the excellence it strives for. The workforce is Key to the successful delivery of improved patient outcomes, to achieve its national ambition and education and to embed research into clinical practice.
Although this post will initially be based at Linden Lodge to support the rehabilitation of the patients in this setting, the person employed will be expected to transition with the service to the NRC.
