About the role:
This is a key operational role in the Control Room, reporting to the Duty Process Manager, as part of a team responsible for the coordination of the Linehaul vehicles transitioning on site. Also pivotal in the day-to-day management of the Ryton based Linehaul drivers.
1. Understand and interpret Linehaul schedules as produced by the Linehaul Planners.
2. Matching of drivers to schedules.
3. Production of outbound loads and load manifests for driver despatch purposes.
4. Briefing and debriefing of site-based drivers including agency drivers.
5. Downloading of Digicards and production of infringement letters if relevant.
6. Completion of Agency Declaration Forms and Agency Hours Forms.
7. Allocation and recording of vehicles issued.
8. Processing of vehicle defect notes in line with legal and company policy requirements.
9. Vehicles inbound and outbound processes via Yard Management System.
10. Movement and positioning of load units on site via Yard Management System.
11. Liaison with warehouse staff regarding inbound and outbound loads.
12. Production of internal operational reports as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience gained in a similar role.
2. Outstanding communication skills and be able to communicate in writing and verbally with confidence with stakeholders at all levels.
3. High levels of competency in computer literacy skills, specifically being able to use Microsoft Office software packages i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook.
