The Clinical Nurse Manager has responsibility for providing operational clinical and managerial leadership for older adult community mental health services and delegated (from the Head of Nursing) responsibility for staff governance and professional leadership for Mental Health Nurses working within Older Adult mental Health services.
The Clinical Nurse Manager is accountable for the delivery and standards of care provided to patients, ensuring safe, effective, person-centred care.
To carry a clinical caseload in the service comprising up to 20% of the post’s time.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
