To be the focal point on all NDE related matters for the SEITL business. You will be carrying out non-destructive evaluation (Radiography, Eddy Current, Liquid Penetrant and Magnetic Particle) maintaining and facilitating inspection personnel throughout the business. Will share the responsibility of overall development of processes and the introduction of new systems and concepts to ensure quality outputs.
You will support the financial target as well as be part of a team of engineers responsible for collective targets.
Liaison and interface at all levels of the core manufacturing business. Specifically, a pro-active role in the investigation and solution of problems. Where appropriate will include supporting investigations at suppliers.
How You’ll Make an Impact
* Encourage an awareness of the importance of quality by your commitment and approach to NDE/NDT groups on quality related matters.
* You will be an integral part of the manufacturing group within your area of responsibility and will work together to achieve the relevant KPI’s.
* You will be instrumental in the delivery of Non-Destructive testing throughout the business. Carrying out radiographic, magnetic particle and penetrant testing.
* Collaborate with the group manager, engineers, operators and fitters on the reporting of problems and the introduction of process changes.
* You will be focal point within the associated work area for quality related issues communicating with Quality management and component group management in identifying priorities and workload schedules to the satisfaction of the teams internal and external customers. You will attend group meetings on a regular basis to gain a full and concise knowledge of production programmes and priorities.
What You Bring
* Either experience in an NDT role or someone who has an interest in learning the role
* Aerospace or mechanical engineering (or similar) background
* Interest in NDT
* Minimum qualification NVQ level 4 or 5 or equivalent
