Job Title: Occupational Therapist Location: West Midlands Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in the West Midlands. In this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting individuals, particularly children, to improve their ability to perform daily activities and enhance their independence. Experience working with children is essential for this position. Sensory Integration training is also a mandatory requirement. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical, psychological, and environmental needs. Develop and implement personalized care plans aimed at improving functional abilities and overall well-being, particularly for children. Provide advice, guidance, and training to clients and their families on equipment, adaptations, and techniques to foster independence. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care. Monitor client progress, adjusting care plans as needed to meet evolving needs. Mentor and support junior therapists and support staff as required. Stay informed about developments in occupational therapy practices, research, and relevant legislation. Provide tailored interventions that specifically address the challenges faced by children and young people. Qualifications & Experience: Degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy. Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist, with strong expertise in working with children and understanding their unique challenges. Sensory Integration training is a mandatory requirement. In-depth knowledge of best practices, evidence-based techniques, and current relevant legislation. Ability to assess complex cases and implement effective, child-focused interventions. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Desirable Skills: Experience in clinical, community, or rehabilitation settings. Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
