This role will be a 12-Month FTC.
This role is responsible for aligning the company’s product strategy globally along with its overall business goals and objectives. As Senior Product Director, you will report into our CTO and will be a senior leader within the CV-Library Group responsible for driving the strategic vision, operational excellence, and delivery of our product roadmap. You will be responsible for delivering a clear product vision, revenue-generating roadmap, and direction for the business and product team, including providing strategic leadership and guidance.

You will be an experienced product leader who has a proven track record as an individual contributor, used to being able to deliver change as well as lead a team in delivery. You will be passionate about providing outstanding customer focus and delivering the best possible customer experience.
Strategic Product Leadership:
* Collaborate with our C-Suite and wider leadership teams to define and prioritise product initiatives.
* Execute the product roadmap, prioritising feature delivery, and ensuring timely delivery of key milestones against the roadmap.
* Execute efficiently and at pace the goals and timescales for the roadmap using agile methodologies and communicating these appropriately to all levels of the business.
* Provide insight to the leadership team and guide the business through transformative change around the product function globally.
* Ensure the product vision translates into actionable and achievable plans.
Operational Excellence:
* Implement best practices in product development processes across the Product team to drive efficiency and quality.
* Establish metrics and KPIs to measure and improve operational performance.
* Monitor the performance of the product teams through KPIs in line with your product strategy and communicate these metrics appropriately to key stakeholders.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the product team.
Product Delivery Management:
* Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring timely and successful product launches.
* You will lead the product team in our replatforming project, so previous experience working on similar projects in the past would be an advantage.
* Work closely with our engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of the product roadmap.
* Provide detailed business requirements to the technology team, enhancing the overall productivity and quality of the development, testing, and delivery process.
* Manage risks and dependencies to ensure smooth product delivery.
Leadership and Team Development:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product team. You will have experience of transforming teams and building product teams from the ground up.
* Proven track record recruiting and developing top talent in the UK near shore and offshore, nurture a culture of collaboration and innovation, and inspire the team to deliver high-quality outputs and products that meet business and customer objectives.
* Provide regular feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities for team members.
Customer-Centric Focus:
* Champion the voice of the customer in all product decisions.
* Drive user research, customer feedback, and usability testing to inform product development.
* Ensure products meet and exceed customer expectations in terms of functionality, usability, and quality.
Financial and Performance Accountability:
* Develop and manage product budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
* Oversee and qualify financial analysis and ROI assessments for product initiatives.
* Drive revenue growth through clear pathways in relation to product innovation, market expansion, and customer acquisition.
* Monitor KPIs, track product metrics, and make data-driven decisions to optimise product performance and maximise revenue potential.
Innovation and Market Trends:
* Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape.
* Encourage a culture of innovation within the product team.
* Conduct comprehensive market research to understand customer needs and identify current and new market opportunities.
Demonstrate exceptional commercial awareness and be effective in launching and improving products to give the business the best revenue growth opportunities.
Marketplace experience, with a good understanding of search and SEO.
Must have been in a scale business or enterprise in a product strategist role.
Clear, confident, and proactive communicator able to bridge the gap between the business and technical experts.
Outstanding customer focus, including understanding, anticipating, and exceeding clients’ needs.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to deliver, engage and lead change.
Strong collaborator who is comfortable in decision-making as well as being a social personality to relate at all levels across the business.
Excellent people leadership skills to lead, mentor and develop a collaborative multi-disciplined team.
Strong ability to motivate people to build a high-performing team who are committed and motivated to achieve ambitious targets.
Product delivery techniques such as story mapping, business process modelling, UX wireframing, BDD, prioritisation methods, as well as epic, feature, and story breakdown as part of a wider product backlog.
