If so, we are looking to appoint a National Clinical Director to the National 6 Goals for Urgent and Emergency Care Programme team initially on a 2 year secondment basis. The National 6 Goals for Urgent and Emergency Care (U&EC) Programme, part of the NHS Wales Executive, is an All-Wales Health Board-led programme that is co-designed by clinical and professional leads spanning the urgent and emergency care pathway. It reflects the priorities in the Programme for Government to provide effective, high quality and sustainable healthcare as close to home as possible and to improve service access and integration. This is a key and exciting role which will act as the senior clinical voice for the National 6 Goals programme. The post holder will have responsibility for clinical leadership, advice and engagement and will be professionally accountable for the clinical leads within the 6 Goals National Programme Team. The successful post holder must hold current GMC registration and either be on the specialist register or GP register. The successful candidate will be appointed on 6-8 sessions per week to allow for some ongoing clinical commitments and will retain their existing terms and conditions of employment.
