My client is a market-leading international law firm renowned for pioneering the international law firm model. They are now looking for a client-focused and motivated HR Assistant to join their HR team in London on a permanent basis.
The HR Assistant will be responsible for supporting the wider HR Advisory team with all HR matters, working closely with HR Advisors and BPs, ensuring a collaborative and smooth running service to the wider firm.
Key Duties:
* Work closely with the Pre-Boarding & On-Boarding Coordinator as well as the HR Advisors, helping to plan and support the weekly induction programme for new joiners, including preparing induction packs.
* Own all new joiner administration, including creating new joiner checklists and conducting Right to Work checks for all new joiners in London.
* Own the weekly HR report, ensuring that updates are made in a timely manner and it is circulated on a weekly basis.
* Collate monthly payroll data and liaise with the payroll team for processing, flagging any queries with the relevant HR contacts.
* Collaborate with colleagues to provide a comprehensive service with respect to the full employee lifecycle, including advising on general policy queries, assisting with exit interviews as required, scanning and e-filing documents into employee files, etc.
* Assist HR Advisors with HR systems updates, including the creation of new joiner and contingent worker profiles, ensuring the system is up to date and changes are processed quickly and accurately.
* With the relevant HR Advisor, assist with the full off-boarding process that includes leavers and systems updates.
* Engage with and assist HR Business Partners on key annual initiatives that include, but are not limited to, performance evaluations and compensation reviews, real-time and upward feedback, and annual promotion processes.
* Work with the HR Advisors to build regular, robust data reporting on key employee lifecycle activities such as joiners, leavers, etc.
* Assist the Head of HR, London with updating HR policies and processes and ensuring Connect resources are up to date.
The HR Assistant will ideally have previous HR experience within a professional services environment/a global law firm, and a CIPD qualification (full or part) would be advantageous. It is essential to be highly client-focused, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels, and be highly detail-oriented. The right candidate will have excellent technical skills and the ability to learn new systems (knowledge of PeopleSoft advantageous) and effective delegation skills. The HR Assistant will be personable, approachable & enthusiastic.
