Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, caring and highly motivated radiographer to work as a Team Leader in Pre-Treatment at Guys Cancer Centre. We are looking for a radiographer with an excellent technical background and strong leadership attributes to work in a progressive Pre-Treatment department, with sophisticated scanning and planning techniques. This includes motion management through EEBH, 4DCT, DiBH, advanced contrast enhancement methodologies and an Eclipse virtual simulationsuite. We operate a forward thinking, multimodality imaging approach for many patients and routinely operate our service in MRI and PET. The departments routinely operate extended day working and shift patterns apply for machine service days and unscheduled service interruptions. Bank holiday and weekend working take place in line with the department and service operational needs. Participation on the on-call rota is arequirement of this post. Main duties of the job To join the leadership team in Pre-Treatment to effectively deliver the service with the support of the Section and Operational Lead radiographers. To maintain excellent patient centred care at all times in line with the trust values. To uphold high standards of accuracy and quality in all aspects ofpre-treatment, including preparations, patient positioning, CT scanning, contrast delivery, virtual simulation and working in MRI. To ensure thatjunior and rotating radiographers are supported in their learning and to drive service development.
